Does you wife feel most comfortable when she's wearing her cowboy boots and her blue jeans? Dressing up for her might consist of wearing a sequined top with her jeans. While that might be a slight exaggeration, you might be planning a special Mother's Day for your wife who loves everything from cowboy apparel to going to rodeos. Here are some ideas that might help you to plan a fun and memorable Mother's Day event.
Cowboy Apparel For Gals
Even though your wife might already have jeans, it is likely that she will be excited to receive brand-new ones. Think of getting her fancy ones that have an embroidery design. While your wife might already have boots that she loves dearly, wouldn't she love some new cowboy boots that have a totally different look to them? For example, select boots that have a fringe around the top of the boots. Buy super-tall socks that have lace at the top so it can peek out of the boots. Not sure of her size? Speak to a sales associate at a store such as Cowboy Up Apparel Retailer.
To go with the jeans and the fringed boots, think of buying a leather jacket that has a fringed collar. A hand-tooled leather belt to go with the other items you select will be a great accent item. Don't forget to include T-shirts that have a cowboy look to them. The T-shirts will go great with the leather jacket or just with the jeans she already owns.
A Cowboy Event
Besides spoiling your wife with cowboy apparel, think of an event to make the day a perfect one. For example, is there going to be a rodeo in your area soon? If so, tickets for the two of you or for your entire family to go to the rodeo would probably be a wonderful gift.
If you think your wife will want to spend a quiet evening at home on Moher's Day, think of giving her a cowboy movie that you can watch as a family. Some good choices might be classics like Hondo starring Alan Ladd or McClintock starring John Wayne. In fact, any cowboy movie with John Wayne as the main character will be a great addition to your DVD library.
Don't forget snacks to enjoy during the movie. Besides the traditional popcorn, think of serving your wife's favorite soft drink. Make root beer floats to enjoy along with the popcorn and promise her that you'll do all the cleanup after the movie.
